Amit Mahar

Amit, raised in the mountains of Uttarakhand, credits his upbringing for instilling in him a robust physical and mental resilience. Since childhood, he has immersed himself in sports like football, basketball, volleyball, and taekwondo.

His interest in the human body’s capabilities deepened during university, where he became a dedicated fitness enthusiast after joining a gym. In late 2018, facing personal challenges, he discovered yoga, sparking a transformative journey in his life—enhancing his mental, physical, and emotional well-being through ongoing yoga courses and exploration.

Inspired by movers ranging from dancers to martial artists, Amit particularly admires animals for their graceful movements. His personal practice includes yoga, handstands, functional training, Kallaripayatu, and meditation, as he constantly seeks to expand his skills. His mission is to empower others to integrate movement into their lives, fostering a healthier and more fulfilling existence.

Priyanka Karki

Priyanka is a committed yoga practitioner and instructor with a wide array of certifications and over six years of teaching experience. She has earned a Master’s degree in Yoga and specializes in Pre & Post Natal Yoga. Priyanka teaches Ashtanga Vinyasa, Hatha, and Vinyasa flow, demonstrating a deep passion for imparting her knowledge and fostering wellness through yoga.

Sunil Singh Negi

Sunil, born in Rishikesh, is a dedicated meditation coach specialising in various techniques such as Yoga Nidra, laughing meditation, and third eye meditation. With a deep-rooted connection to his birthplace known for spirituality, Sunil has honed his expertise in guiding individuals through transformative meditation practices. His approach blends traditional wisdom with modern applications, aiming to foster inner peace, clarity of mind, and holistic well-being among his students.

Meet Iraa, the visionary founder of Adi Yoga Shala. A city girl with an MBA in finance and marketing, Iraa’s journey began in the corporate world, where she thrived in prestigious roles with the Big Fours. However, her quest for inner peace and profound calm led her to discover the transformative power of yoga.

With over a decade of teaching experience, Iraa specializes in yoga anatomy and teaching methodology, enriching the lives of countless students. Her dedication to deepening her knowledge is evident through her pursuit of a Master’s degree in yoga, with plans underway for a Ph.D. in the field.

Iraa’s dream took shape with the founding of Adi Yoga Shala, a haven for seekers of mindfulness and spiritual growth. Despite the challenges posed by the pandemic, her resilience and passion continue to inspire, ensuring that Adi Yoga Shala remains a beacon of tranquility and enlightenment in these transformative times.
